| While sharing gear/resources between secondaries is now allowed (and has been for a while), multiplaying is still not allowed. While that leaves some grey area, I would like to clear it up. Specifically, using spells and abilities with one character to enhance the performance of another character. What this means is things like being in a group with a healer who dies, switching characters to revive the healer, and then switching back to play with said healer again. Or logging in with your bard character and then singing up your party members, only to then switch to your mage to play with them. This is essentially a form of multiplaying. I'm not suggesting it is the same tier as outright having multiple characters on at once, but it's close enough and really it has needed to be cleared up for some time. I am going to clear up the rules section about this, but in the meantime I wanted to let you know that this is not really appropriate behavior, and should not be continued. I am, however, in this case, willing to allow things that do not really use spells or abilities to benefit you. Things like logging into a lvl <= 15 char to get the item for killing Tiamat. I am limiting this for now to specifically using spells/abilities to buff, revive, heal, etc other party members via a character who is not actively playing with said party members, or dragon lords for that matter (though I will also be addressing that in a separate way at a later point). Basically any shared effort between yourself and others should be done with only 1 character of yours and only 1 of theirs. I am also going to say that since this has been a grey area and I don't expect rules to be read immediately necessarily, that I would recommend anyone who catches someone doing it for now to give a warning for the first infraction, just so no one says they didn't know. |
