| Hey there,
Submitted this via the idea command but hadn't heard back, was advised to post it here instead as this might be checked more often? Anyways, the idea deals with newbies using the bounty hunting. My idea is to lower/remove the time limit to get the hint of what island the your contract-creature is located on. The hint does help a lot, just being able to narrow it down, and gives a somewhat more directed purpose to exploring rather than wandering aimlessly and hoping not to get one-shotted by an aggressive.

Nederland, the bounty hunter is not there as a newbie toy, it is designed for players who know the game. The option to find the location of the monsters was put in at an hour interval to promote actually looking for the monsters instead of just saying 'hey, where is it, i don't know that one'
And where is the fun in trying to play the 'bounty hunter' if there's no chance of being trounced by something you didn't know was there?

| you are welcome to turn on bounty channel and ask for help. while i don't think bounties were invented specifically for higher level people, or more experienced people, there is certainly an edge to being the latter. however, asking for help is permitted, so you should do that. as far as giving more clues, frequently i can't find the monster even after asking for help, and when that happens, i just stop trying to do bounties and grind xp like god intended. |
