| The bounty system is definitely not perfect, but at the same time, in an era where players can solo a lot of mobs, we are not going to lower it to 60 minutes without giving something up.
For a long time though, there has been an idea to let players reduce the cooldown by paying X amount gold, and only being able to do it with restrictred usage in order to not just pay your way to the most suitable monster for you.
The fact that the monster you get as a bounty might already be dead is kind of the point, but that is exactly why I potentially could see adding a method to reduce the time until the next bounty.
However, lowering the timer without any cost would just reduce the value of EQ, make players richer, and make gold even more useless than it apparently already is.
Although lowering the time by spending gold would also benefit players who are already rich more than others, which I'm not sure I'm 100% comfortable with.
On the other hand, every player, in theory, has the same chance to farm exps and gold. |
